SAOA Mission

The Springfield Area Officials Association is committed to providing its membership with an organization that educates and promotes interscholastic sports officiating. It is the intent of the Association to provide sport participants with as safe, fair and enjoyable environment as possible.

The membership acknowledges their obligation to provide interscholastic sports oversight that is fair, impartial and guided by the proper application of the rules and mechanics of the governing body. 

The membership pledges to promote officiating by recruiting, developing, and promoting officials through sport specific meetings, training clinics, peer feedback, and the formal evaluation process provided by the Illinois High School Association Observer Program.  As an Association we encourage certified members to acknowledge and participate in the IHSA rating process used to promote members and to assign officials for state final consideration.

It is the  obligation of each member to promote fellow members and the various sports supported by the Association.

Unless noted - ALL meetings will be held at Fulgenzi's.

FOOTBALL clinic meeting on Wednesday June 5, 2013 at

Fulgenzi's beginning at 6:30 PM.

Please try to attend as the clinic

assignments/topics will be discussed.

Remember that this year's clinic will

be held at Riverton High School.
